"I loved having time in my day to spend focusing on myself, and on my breath. It made me feel much more centered, helped me forget about my stress, and relax!" ~Jamie, grade 8

Yoga for Educators:
Creating Sustainable Movement in Schools
Adolescence is a time of tremendous physiological, emotional, and social change. This dynamic period can often be challenging to navigate for students and teachers. As educators, we must build a strong and flexible educational framework, allowing space for growth and structure for consistency. This takes intention, vision, and practice.
The direct translation of yoga means "to yoke". Jenn explores how to effectively yoke the principles of yoga with academic instruction. She demonstrates how this union supports a collaborative, sustainable, and nurturing classroom environment. This synergistic approach allows educators to support students in unique learning experiences and provide a sense of balance through self-discovery. Students develop life skills to manage academic, social, and personal stress.
Workshops provide a hands-on opportunity for educators to learn about yogic philosophy, experience yoga practice, and lesson plan with yoga and place-based education. Participants may receive continuing education credits and Yoga Farm curricular materials.
